Separate growing food from keeping it
Use the farming guide when an area is not marked or a Farmer does not begin. Check crop selection, water needs and the season before treating the issue as a bug. Then read food storage to distinguish a food’s maximum lifetime from the age of its oldest batch. Prepare suitable preserved reserves before winter; moving or combining an old stack does not make it fresh again.
